DECLASSIFIED FOOTAGE — PENTAGON CONFIRMED
GoFast Video
2015 — USS Theodore Roosevelt, US East Coast
The Footage
The GoFast video was captured by ATFLIR pod from an F/A-18 Super Hornet from the USS Theodore Roosevelt in 2015. The footage shows a small, white spherical object skimming just above the ocean surface at extraordinary apparent speed. The pilots can be heard reacting: ‘Whoa, got it. Whoo-hoo!’ The object maintains a consistent altitude just above the water — a feat that would require real-time terrain-following capability far beyond anything in the known military inventory.
Speed Analysis
Initial viewing suggests the object is travelling at several hundred knots at extreme low altitude. A detailed analysis by the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies found that when accounting for the aircraft’s own speed, altitude, and the FLIR parallax effect, the object’s actual ground speed was approximately 40 knots — but that its altitude hold above a moving ocean surface at that speed, without any control surface movement visible, represents a fundamentally different engineering achievement. The object shows no wake, no heat signature consistent with propulsion, and no visible structure beyond a featureless sphere.
Pentagon Declassification
GoFast was officially declassified by the Pentagon in April 2020 as one of three UAP videos released following years of FOIA pressure. The Pentagon confirmed the footage was authentic, unclassified, and that the object remained unidentified.
Verdict
Official Pentagon-authenticated footage of an object maintaining precise low-altitude flight above open ocean with no visible propulsion, no aerodynamic surfaces, and no wake — captured by military targeting systems with trained witnesses. Third of three officially declassified US government UAP videos.
