New Mexico is the birthplace of the American nuclear programme. The Trinity test occurred at White Sands in 1945. Roswell happened 200 miles south in 1947. Los Alamos National Laboratory designed the first nuclear weapons. Sandia National Laboratories at Kirtland AFB maintains and upgrades the nuclear stockpile. The Kansas City National Security Campus produces 85% of all non-nuclear nuclear weapons components. Kirtland AFB hosts the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center and the Space Vehicle Directorate where McCasland commanded the Phillips Research Site.

UAP Gerb identifies the DOE as ‘baked in at every level’ of the UAP programme architecture — the Atomic Energy Act provides classification authority that overrides presidential orders. New Mexico’s DOE facilities are the operational core of this architecture. The Roswell recovery in 1947 occurred in the same state, the same year nuclear weapons testing began at Trinity. The clustering of missing persons across LANL, KCNSC, and Albuquerque is the New Mexico cluster documented in the 11 scientists active federal case.

Four missing persons, no confirmed sightings. McCasland disappeared February 27, 2026. Casias disappeared June 26, 2025 — both phones factory-reset. Chavez walked out without phone, wallet, or car keys on May 8, 2025. Garcia left without devices on August 28, 2025. The FBI’s Albuquerque Field Office is involved. The pattern of device abandonment and deliberate digital silence across multiple cases is the most anomalous forensic pattern in the cluster.
