// WHAT THESE IMAGES ARE
The images on the Witness-Reconstructed Craft page are illustrative reconstructions built from primary-source witness testimony, sworn deposition, sensor records, and contemporaneous reporting. They are not photographs. They are not gun-camera footage. They are not classified imagery. They are AI-generated visualisations grounded in specific, citable witness accounts.
The function of the reconstructions is the same as a courtroom forensic illustration or a maritime accident reconstruction: to render in visual form what witnesses described, so a reader who has not read 600 pages of testimony can understand what was seen.
// THE PIPELINE
- Witness sourcing. Each craft begins with named witnesses on the public record. Tic Tac = Cmdr David Fravor and Lt Cmdr Alex Dietrich, USS Nimitz strike group, 14 November 2004, sworn statements and Pentagon-released video. Phoenix Lights = former Arizona Governor Fife Symington plus 10,000+ ground witnesses on 13 March 1997. Egg-shaped craft = Jake Barber, post-2024 retrieval testimony. Every craft has a sourceable origin.
- Description extraction. Witness descriptions of geometry, surface treatment, dimensions, motion, light signature, and thermal characteristics are pulled from sworn testimony, FOIA-released debriefs, and pilot interviews. Disagreements between witnesses are documented and the most-corroborated description used.
- Prompt construction. A detailed prompt is written for the use.ai image generator specifying geometry, materials, environment, and sensor mode (visible-light vs FLIR thermal vs night-vision). Prompts are version-tracked.
- Generation and review. Multiple renders are produced. Renders that contradict witness testimony (wrong shape, wrong appendage count, wrong colour palette) are discarded. Renders that match the testimony are kept.
- Caption and citation. Each image is published with the witness name, date, location, and primary-source citation. The reader can verify the underlying account.
// WHAT THE RECONSTRUCTIONS ARE NOT
- Not evidence of the craft existing. The reconstructions do not prove anything. The underlying witness testimony is the evidence; the reconstruction is a visual aid for the testimony.
- Not exact representations. Eyewitnesses misremember scale, colour, and detail. Two pilots watching the same object disagree on size by factors. The reconstructions reflect the consensus account; they cannot be more precise than the source material.
- Not a substitute for primary sources. Read the testimony. Watch the released video. The reconstructions exist to make the case files navigable, not to replace them.
- Not classified imagery. Nothing on this page comes from a leak, a hack, or unauthorised disclosure. All inputs are public record.
// LIMITATIONS WE ACKNOWLEDGE
Generative AI is imperfect. Some renders will contain artifacts, anatomically implausible details, or stylistic choices that look “machine-generated.” This is unavoidable with current image-generation technology. We mark each image with the slug “reconstructed from witness testimony” in the alt text precisely so search engines and assistive technologies do not mistake them for photographs.
Witness fallibility. Eyewitness testimony, even from highly trained military observers, is a known weak link in evidentiary chains. We do not pretend the underlying accounts are infallible. The reconstructions inherit every limitation of the source testimony.
No claim of consensus. A reconstructed craft does not mean the craft exists. It means a named witness, on the record, described an object that looked like this. The verdict labels (resolved / insufficient data / unresolved high-interest) are applied separately on the case page; the reconstruction does not assert a verdict.
// WHY DO IT THIS WAY
Most UAP coverage relies on the same handful of grainy military stills (the Tic Tac FLIR, the Gimbal, GoFast, the Bledsoe orb composite). The visual record is thin because the actual sensor footage is mostly classified or destroyed. This means most readers form their mental image of UAP from a) those few stills, b) Hollywood depictions, or c) nothing.
The reconstructions exist to fill that gap honestly: to give a reader who has just finished reading the Fravor testimony a visual that matches what Fravor said he saw. With a clear methodology label so they know what they’re looking at.
// CORRECTIONS AND REQUESTS
If you are a witness whose testimony underlies a reconstruction and the rendering does not match what you saw, write to admin@ufooracle.com with the specific differences. We will rework the prompt and republish.
If you believe a reconstruction is being misused (eg. presented as a photograph by a third party who removed our caption), let us know. Misrepresentation of these images is contrary to our editorial intent.
