Multiple nights, July 2019. Five US Navy warships — USS Russell, USS Kidd, USS Omaha, USS Rafael Peralta, USS John Finn — encountered unidentified objects off Southern California coast near Channel Islands. USS RUSSELL: Night-vision footage shows triangular/pyramid formation hovering “approximately 700 feet over USS Russell’s fantail” per official Carrier Strike Group 9 (CSG-9) notation. Objects described as blinking, pyramid-shaped. Filmed by SNOOPIE (Ship’s Nautical Or Otherwise Photographic Interpretation and Examination) team — Navy intelligence personnel. USS OMAHA: FLIR footage shows spherical object tracked on radar and camera. Object descends into ocean. Pentagon confirmed authentic 2021. Navy sent a SUBMARINE to search the area — found NOTHING. Object filmed from Combat Information Center; operators heard saying “It splashed! It splashed!” VIRGINIA ENCOUNTER March 4, 2019: F/A-18 WSO photographed three separate objects within 20 minutes — officially designated as “sphere,” “acorn,” and “metallic blimp.” ONI BRIEFINGS: Office of Naval Intelligence held classified briefing Oct 18, 2019 and a second on May 1, 2020 — specifically “to de-stigmatize the UAP problem and promote more intelligence collection.” Briefings included 10 videos (FLIR + HUD) and 10-12 photographs. Pentagon spokesperson Susan Gough confirmed all footage authentic. Chief of Naval Operations confirmed objects remain UNIDENTIFIED.
