Dr. Steven Macon Greer (born 1955, Charlotte NC) — former emergency physician, Chairman of Emergency Medicine at Caldwell Memorial Hospital NC. Founded Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence (CSETI) in 1990. Founded the Disclosure Project in 1993. THE MAY 9, 2001 NATIONAL PRESS CLUB EVENT: Over 20 military, government, corporate and intelligence witnesses testified live on camera, urging open Congressional hearings on UAPs and classified energy technologies. The webcast drew 250,000 live viewers — the largest webcast in NPC history at the time. An estimated 1 billion people heard about the conference through BBC, CNN Worldwide, Voice of America, Pravda, Chinese media, and Latin American outlets. WITNESS ARCHIVE: By the event, Greer had identified 400+ credentialed military and government witnesses. 120+ were videotaped at length (120+ hours of testimony). The Disclosure Project Briefing Document submitted to Congress and media. BRIEFINGS CONDUCTED: Clinton Administration (including CIA Director James Woolsey), senior Pentagon officials, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Congressional committees, UK military leadership, UN leadership. In April 1997, a dozen witnesses were assembled in Washington for direct briefings with Congressmen and Pentagon officials — and still no hearings were granted. CLAIMS: Classified programs have possessed “fully operational anti-gravity propulsion devices” since the 1940s. Zero-point energy systems exist that could end the energy crisis. These technologies are being suppressed by private contractor interests. CONTROVERSIAL ASSESSMENTS: Greer is specifically cited in our Master Dossier as a problematic figure in the disclosure movement — his methodology for handling whistleblowers is questioned, and UAP Gerb characterizes him as potentially undermining disclosure unity. His assessment that Lou Elizondo is a “disinformation asset” is disputed. CE-5 psionic contact protocols and his broader worldview are contested. Nevertheless the May 9, 2001 NPC event remains a landmark in disclosure history.
