RICHARD DOTY OPERATION (April 9, 1983): Howe had an HBO contract for “UFOs: The E.T. Factor.” AFOSI agent Richard Doty invited her to Kirtland Air Force Base. Doty told her: “You know you upset some people in Washington with your film ‘A Strange Harvest’. It came too close to something we don’t want the public to know about.” Doty showed her documents titled “Briefing Paper for the President” describing small grey humanoids from Zeta Reticuli. He promised film footage of UFO crashes, deceased aliens, living aliens, and a direct interview with a surviving ET. None materialized. HBO canceled her documentary project. In the documentary “Mirage Men,” Doty confirmed: the AFOSI operation was deliberately designed to derail her HBO documentary.
