NSA-released declassified analysis confirms key UAP/weapons incidents. 1976 Iran F-4 Phantom Incident: DIA evaluation called it “an outstanding report” — multiple credible witnesses, radar confirmation, three aircraft reported EM effects, physiological effects on crew. When one F-4 pilot attempted to fire at the object, the weapons-control panel became inoperable. The object displayed “an inordinate amount of maneuverability.” NSA SIGINT: US intercept technician with USAF Security Service intercepted communications between a Cuban pilot and ground control regarding a UAP encounter. When the MiG pilot attempted to fire at the object, the MiG and its pilot were destroyed. All reports, tapes, and log entries were forwarded to the NSA “at their request.” Kuwait 1978: UAP appeared over northern oil fields. Automatic pumping equipment designed to shut down on failure was triggered by the UAP — then restarted automatically when the UAP left. In the 1975 Northern Tier UFO wave, an NSA-held document notes a CONFIDENTIAL Defense Department message: “Since 28 Oct 75 numerous reports of suspicious objects have been received at NORAD COC. Reliable military personnel at Loring AFB, Wurtsmith AFB, Malmstrom AFB, Minot AFB, and Canadian Forces Station Falconbridge.” Project Blue Book explicitly excluded national security UFO reports per JANAP-146 and AF Manual 55-11 — with criminal penalties for disclosure. The best cases were never investigated by Blue Book.
