LiveScience documented multiple scientific UAP detection studies that mainstream coverage ignored. (1) UKRAINE WARZONE MONITORING: Ukrainian researchers operating two simultaneous observatory sites documented UAP during the active Russian invasion. Two categories emerged: “Cosmics” — luminous objects brighter than background sky, named with birds’ names (swift, falcon, eagle) — observed flying solo and in “squadrons.” “Phantoms” — completely black, appearing to absorb ALL light falling on them, 10-40 feet wide, traveling at estimated speeds up to 33,000 mph. For comparison: an ICBM reaches maximum 15,000 mph. Objects traveling at 33,000 mph through warzone airspace that absorb all light are not in any known inventory of Ukrainian, Russian, or NATO equipment. Ukraine’s National Academy of Sciences expressed interest in contributing to ongoing UAP research. (2) AI IN HUBBLE ARCHIVE: A separate study reported by LiveScience found that an AI algorithm scanning archived Hubble Space Telescope data identified unexplained objects with morphologies described as “jellyfish,” “hamburgers,” and other irregular shapes — objects whose visual characteristics don’t match known astronomical phenomena. (3) CHILE CAMERA TRAP (September 2025): A wildlife camera operating under rigorous scientific protocols at a Patagonian research station captured unexplained lights. Specialists from the University of Magallanes (UMAG), La Serena UFO Museum, and independent analysts were consulted. Possible explanations: plasmoid (ionized gas bubble confined by local magnetic field), spider near lens, unknown atmospheric phenomenon. Conclusion from all specialists: no conclusive explanation. The camera’s anti-fraud protocols preclude tampering.
