AARO’s March 2024 Historical Record Report on US government UAP involvement revealed that elements within the US government had formally proposed a Special Access Program under the Department of Homeland Security named “Kona Blue” specifically to reverse engineer any extraterrestrial craft that came into government possession. Advocates were “convinced that the U.S. government was hiding UAP technologies.” DHS leaders rejected the proposal as “without merit.” The same AARO report that concluded “no empirical evidence” of alien technology existed simultaneously revealed that credentialed government insiders had formally proposed an ET reverse engineering program to DHS. By April 2023, AARO had received 801 UAP reports. AARO director Jon Kosloski stated in November 2024 that AARO is analyzing several “true anomalies” and “there are interesting cases that I, with my physics and engineering background and time in the intelligence community, find very interesting.” Half of AARO’s investigations remain unresolved with insufficient data. AARO confirmed to Wikipedia: most cases were resolved mundanely (weather balloons etc), but “the other half remain unexplained.” For an office tasked with debunking UAP, half unresolved is an extraordinary admission. Additionally, Grusch testified to Congress about crash retrieval programs but AARO director Kirkpatrick confirmed Grusch “has refused to speak with AARO” — the office responsible for investigating his claims.
