INTELLIGENCE ANALYSIS: Dr. James McDonald Is the 1967 Template for the 2024 Missing Scientists Pattern. The UFOR NSW Archive Holds 58 Unpublished Australian Witness Interviews — Some Never Previously Published. The Same Researcher Who Recovered the Valentich File Also Compiled McDonald’s Archives.

UFO Research NSW (ufor.asn.au) holds a collection that reveals a suppression pattern predating the modern 11 scientists case by 50 years. Dr. James Edward McDonald (May 7, 1920 – June 13, 1971) was a Senior Physicist and Professor of Meteorology at the University of Arizona — arguably the most scientifically credible UAP researcher of the 20th century. He conducted 58 audio-recorded interviews with Australian UAP witnesses during a June 24 – July 10, 1967 visit to Australia hosted by the Victorian Flying Saucer Research Society. UFOR NSW holds the 100-page summary of these recordings, compiled in 2016. The summary notes explicitly: “It is likely that some of these reports have not been previously published.” McDonald stated: “I am convinced that, at least, over the last 20 years, the Earth has been visited and reconnaissanced by craft that are not products of our technology. UFOs are the greatest scientific problem of our time.” He considered radar-visual cases his most important evidence. He appeared before the UN Outer Space Affairs Group advocating for scientific UAP investigation. In 1971, Congressional opponents — furious at his UAP advocacy — used his testimony to humiliate him publicly. He was found dead June 13, 1971. Officially suicide. CRITICAL CONNECTION: The 100-page McDonald summary was compiled by Keith Basterfield — the SAME researcher who discovered the “lost” Valentich NAA file in 2012 (NAA B1497, V116/783/1047, declared lost/destroyed to researchers in 2004). One researcher connects both the most important missing UAP file in Australian history AND the most important unpublished Australian witness archive. This concentration of archival recovery work in a single individual has never been publicly noted.
