Dr. Beatriz Villarroel (Nordic Institute for Theoretical Physics, Stockholm) leads two projects with explosive implications. VASCO (Vanishing and Appearing Sources during a Century of Observations) searches pre-Sputnik era (1950s) Palomar Observatory sky survey plates for anomalous transient events before human satellite contamination. Key findings: (1) In 2021, VASCO found nine star-like transients on a single 1950 Palomar plate that appeared and vanished within 50 minutes — aligned in a pattern inconsistent with any natural cause. (2) October 2025 peer-reviewed paper in Scientific Reports: the dates when transients appear on 1950s plates are statistically correlated with nuclear weapons test dates AND with the daily count of UAP reports in reporting databases. This is the same nuclear-UAP correlation that SCU documented with actual military incidents. (3) A second October 2025 paper in PASP identified “aligned multiple-transient events” — several point-like flashes in a line within a single pre-Sputnik exposure, consistent with orbital geometry signatures. In July 2025, Villarroel and colleague Dennis Åsberg posted cryptic messages: Villarroel: “After two years of silence, a new paper is accepted. We looked where few have dared. And we didn’t find nothing.” Åsberg: “I have never been as shocked as I was today at work. Now we know things that very, very, very few people on Earth know.” EXOPROBE: her follow-up project analyzed 200,000+ images from the Zwicky Transient Facility searching for ET probes using Earth’s shadow as a natural satellite filter. 2025 MNRAS paper: “A Cost-Effective Search for Extraterrestrial Probes in the Solar System.” Villarroel has since LEFT the SETI community: “That chapter is closed and a new chapter has become for me with UFO research.” She presented at the European Parliament UAP event (March 2024) alongside UAP Coalition Netherlands.
