On January 8, 2025, Liberation Times published a strategic assessment of where UAP disclosure was heading under the incoming Trump administration. Sixteen months later, most of it has proven accurate. Here is the prediction against the reality.
The January 2025 Prediction
Liberation Times identified the key figures who would shape UAP policy:
- John Ratcliffe as CIA Director — pro-disclosure, on record saying UAP “defy the laws of physics”
- Marco Rubio as Secretary of State — had pushed for UAP transparency in the Senate
- Mike Waltz as National Security Advisor — Green Beret, had expressed concern about Grusch’s allegations
- RFK Jr at Health — likely to push for JFK assassination file declassification which intersects UAP records
- Karl Nell, Lue Elizondo, Dave Grusch — potential NSC roles or advisory influence
Liberation Times assessed: “Things could move fast in the coming weeks and months.”
What Actually Happened
- Ratcliffe confirmed as CIA Director ✔
- Rubio confirmed as Secretary of State ✔ — appeared in The Age of Disclosure documentary
- Waltz confirmed as NSA ✔
- Trump directed Pentagon to begin UAP declassification in February 2026 ✔
- PURSUE launched May 8, 2026 ✔ — 161 files, war.gov/UFO, rolling release framework, DOE formally included
- FBI handed classified UAP files to Pentagon ✔
- NSA UAP records transferred to NARA Record Group 615 ✔
What has not yet happened: Elizondo or Grusch in formal NSC advisory roles (not confirmed publicly). The contractor subpoena mechanism (killed in the 2024 NDAA). The eminent domain provision over non-human materials at contractor sites.
The Oracle Assessment
Liberation Times’ January 2025 structural analysis was largely correct. The personnel who got confirmed have pushed in the direction predicted. The institutional barriers that were identified — primarily contractor resistance and the absence of legal enforcement mechanisms — remain the primary obstacles to full disclosure.
The December 2026 congressional deadline for further UAP transparency measures is the next structural milestone. PURSUE’s rolling tranches — particularly the DOE and contractor-related files — are the next evidentiary milestone. Both are live threads.
