‘The U.S. Is In Possession of a Craft of Unknown Origin and Has Accessed Its Interior’
Dr. James Lacatski — the rocket scientist who headed the DIA’s AAWSAP program investigating UAP — stated on the record that the United States government possesses a craft of unknown origin and has successfully accessed its interior. He described the craft: no intakes, no exhaust, no wings, no control surfaces, no engine, no fuel tanks.
The On-Record Statement
In 2023 Lacatski appeared on the WEAPONIZED podcast with George Knapp and Jeremy Corbell to discuss his book. The passage he read — confirmed by him as an exact account — describes a 2011 meeting in the US Capitol building where he posed a question to a Senator and an agency Under Secretary:
The United States was in possession of a craft of unknown origin and had successfully gained access to its interior. This craft had a streamlined configuration suitable for aerodynamic flight but no intakes, exhaust, wings, or control surfaces. In fact, it appeared not to have an engine, fuel tanks, or fuel.

When Corbell asked him directly — ‘You told us our government has a UFO in its possession and has been able to access the inside of it?’ — Lacatski responded: ‘Yes, I was allowed to tell you.’
When asked if he himself had entered the craft, Lacatski said: ‘I can’t answer that.’ When offered the chance to deny it, he declined.
Who Is Lacatski
Dr. James Lacatski is not a UFO enthusiast. He is a career DIA rocket scientist who was tapped to lead AAWSAP — the Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications Program — the classified DIA program that preceded and ran parallel to AATIP. He brought in Bigelow Aerospace as the primary contractor. His clearances and programme role are documented in government records. His book was cleared by DoD for publication.
The Meeting Context
The 2011 Capitol meeting where Lacatski posed his question occurred in the same year as the KONA BLUE DHS programme attempt — when DIA and Bigelow were trying to transfer materials to DHS oversight. The Senator and Under Secretary in the room were part of the same network attempting to regularise the programme. Lacatski’s on-record description of the craft — which he was ‘allowed to tell’ the public — represents the highest-credibility official confirmation of recovered craft in the public record.
